Fees & Funding
Information
How Our Services Are Funded
The Mindbuilders One services can be funded through a combination of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), Medicare rebates (where eligible) and private health insurance rebates.
This page explains the funding options and how they may apply to your situation.
NDIS-Funded Services
The Mindbuilders One is a registered NDIS provider. Most of our supports - including assessments, behaviour support, therapy services and vocational pathways - can be delivered using NDIS funding, subject to:
· An active NDIS plan
· The requested supports aligning with NDIS goals and support categories
· Availability of appropriate funding under your plan
Our intake team will help you confirm funding alignment during the referral and planning process.
Common NDIS support categories used include:
· Core Supports (where appropriate and aligned with participant goals)
· Capacity Building Supports
· Improved Daily Living
· Improved Relationships
· Specialist Behaviour Support
We ensure all billing complies with the most recent NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits set by the NDIA.
Medicare Rebates (Where Eligible)
If you are eligible for Medicare rebates, you may be able to claim a portion of the cost of psychological and therapy services delivered by registered clinicians.
To access Medicare rebates, you will need a valid referral from a GP, paediatrician or psychiatrist, and a Mental Health Care Plan or equivalent referral.
Medicare rebates may apply to:
· Psychological therapy sessions
· Some allied health services (with appropriate referrals)
Rebates vary depending on your individual Medicare eligibility and service type. Contact your GP or Medicare directly for the most up-to-date information.
Combined Rebate Scenarios
You generally cannot claim both a Medicare rebate and a private health insurance rebate for the same service session; please check your eligibility with Medicare and your insurer.
If you receive NDIS funding and also hold private/Medicare rebates, our team can advise on which option may be most financially efficient for you.
Private Health Insurance Rebates
If you have private health insurance with ancillary/extra cover, you may be eligible for rebates on psychological and allied health services provided by registered practitioners.
Rebates vary by:
· Your health insurance provider
· Your level of cover
· The specific services received
Please contact your health fund to confirm eligibility and rebate amounts. The Mindbuilders One can provide itemised receipts that you may use to claim through your insurer.
Fee Transparency
THE MINDBUILDERS ONE is committed to transparency with fees and funding.
Before services begin, we will:
· Explain applicable fees clearly
· Confirm the funding pathway (NDIS, Medicare, private)
· Discuss any out-of-pocket costs (if applicable)
· Obtain consent before services commence
No service will begin without clear agreement from you or your decision-maker.
Assessment & Report Fees
Fees for assessments and reports vary depending on:
· The assessment type and complexity
· Time needed for testing, scoring and interpretation
· Report preparation and formatting requirements
We will provide a clear fee estimate before booking any assessments.
Cancellations &
Non-Attendance
Cancellation and non-attendance fees may apply under the terms of your service agreement.
Details regarding notice periods and applicable charges are provided during intake and confirmed in writing. Refunds or rebates are not provided for missed appointments without appropriate notice.
